FDC Recognizes Employees for Exemplifying Company’s Core Values

Five ‘Ambassador’ Awards in Fourth Quarter

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (April 5, 2022) — FDC Graphic Films, Inc. recognized five valuable employees as Core Values Ambassadors in the fourth quarter of 2021 for exemplifying one or more of the company’s five core values.

FDC’s Core Values are believed to be the five most important values in the way the company employees live and work: integrity, kindness, resiliency, engagement, and drive for success.

“Our team, our customers, and the world have faced difficult challenges this past year. These team members demonstrate their commitment to the Core Values through their actions, which makes me very proud,” said Judy Eck, CEO of FDC. “Thank you to all of the nominees. It is a pleasure to be surrounded by a team that is passionate about the FDC’s goals and exhibits compassion toward one another every day.”

Brett Corbin, a customer care agent, was recognized for her drive for success and engagement. Corbin would prioritize her workload to give the less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping team an edge every morning, together with identifying opportunities for consolidating orders into pallet freight. Submitting the orders right away helped reduce the stress of end-of-day deadlines. Corbin also regularly shares information, ideas, and discussion topics as part of the company’s Work-Life Team.

Carter Cox, a production associate, was recognized for his resiliency. Since April 2018, Cox has worked part-time and attended school full-time. He also has lived the furthest away from FDC’s Reno warehouse facility than any other employee there. This past winter, Cox commuted through some of the worst driving conditions seen in northern Nevada to start his shift on time. He doesn’t miss work unless it’s planned and is often asked to arrive early when the company is busy since he is trained in all aspects of production as well as parcel manifest and picking.

In the company’s fourth double nomination, James Harris, a shipping associate, was recognized for his integrity and engagement. Harris had a FedEx Express shipment that noted a conflict with the defaulted ship method on the order. Instead of sending it as entered, he stopped and asked how to proceed. It would’ve been easier for Harris to send the shipment the way the system defaulted but instead, he thought about it and didn’t want to risk making an error. Harris also made the effort to re-roll bubble wrap that was initially incorrectly wrapped so as not to waste material.

Clinton Kominowski, formerly a shipping team lead who was recently promoted to a customer care agent, was also nominated twice and was recognized for his kindness and drive for success. Kominowski consistently showed up for work with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Even when the pressures of the day get high, he’s seen as a genuine, kindhearted person, asking employees how they are. Kominowski also led the shipping team while their supervisor was out for an extended period and their supervisor greatly appreciated not having to worry about the day-to-day operations while the team was in his care. On his vacation day during this time, he even showed up at work for a few hours to ensure the shipping department was running smoothly. This is Kominowski’s second award, the first in 2020 as part of the company’s shipping team for their resilience and drive for success.

Danyalle Middleton, formerly a customer care agent who was recently promoted to a sales support specialist, was also nominated twice and was recognized for her resiliency and drive for success. Middleton arrives to work each day with a smile, even under stress. She wakes up ready to conquer the day ahead and is consistently laughing and bringing positive energy to the customer care team. Middleton is focused, driven, and strives to elevate the team. She constantly adapts and has a willingness to learn. Middleton encourages others to do their best and genuinely cares about their success.

Each employee received an FDC Core Values Ambassador Award certificate from the FDC Work-Life Team signed by Eck.
