FedEx has informed us that they are experiencing some interruptions in service due to Covid-19.
Customers may experience some delays in transit times; up to three days extra in some cases.
FedEx is also experiencing an influx of packages that cannot be delivered for various reasons. These packages are now clogging up their terminals and may show online “in transit” but will be sitting for various reasons.
Some items that you can do to help FedEx deliver in a timely fashion are:
- Correct delivery contact information with name and a phone number for you or your drop-ship customer
- Making sure you or your drop-ship customer have staff available to receive shipments during normal delivery hours
This applies for both ground and freight services.
Effective immediately on all orders, FDC will require confirmation on your current hours of operation for delivery to ensure uninterrupted delivery. Noting this on your orders will help expedite processing.
