3M Adds Colors To Premium Opaque Films04/11/20163M announced this week changes to the color offering for premium opaque film product lines, expanding the breadth of colors available for ElectroCut™ Series 7125, 7725 and3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film with Comply™ Adhesive Series 180mC (FDC 180MC Series). With the changes, the color palette now includes 84 colors including transparent, opaques and metallics. Series 7125 and Series 7725 both offer 12 additional metallic films. In addition, 3M continues to offer a selection of 29 colors, including transparent, in the 3M™ Scotchcal™ Graphic Film Series 50 product line.Highlights of the changes include:Added 22 brand new colors not previously available in any of the product lines, 19 opaques and 3 metallic colorsAdded 12 Metallics to Series 7125 and Series 7725Discontinued 12 existing colors that were shared by Series 7125, Series 7725 and Series 180CAdded 3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film with Comply™ Adhesive Series 180mC (micro comply adhesive technology)The new colors should be in stock at FDC beginning April 18th. All new colors will be offered in a 48" width as standard. Orders can be placed any time, with lead times subject to availability. Items not available will be backordered and filled when materials arrive at FDC. The transition of Series 180C to Series 180mC will be phased in over time, with the schedule dependent on depletion of Series 180C inventory. A reference guide summarizing all the changes is attached. There are no opaque film price changes associated with this announcement. Metallic films in Series 7125 and Series 7725 will be priced at a premium to colors. FDC is publishing new price lists that will be available by Monday April 18th. The updated lists will include prices, part numbers and colors for the expanded product line. Price lists will be sent automatically, so there is no need to request a copy. Authorized 3M distributors can order the new Opaque Graphic Film Color Card Reference (that shows actual film swatches) directly from 3M using literature reference number 75-5100-2618-2. FDC has limited quantities of the Guide under literature number LIT167125-000 available starting April 18th. Hand samples are available from 3M or FDC. FDC's 3M color selector, which will include the new colors, is currently being redesigned and is expected to be available in May 2016.
