What is the best way to store vinyl films?FDC recommends following these general guidelines when storing vinyl films. • Avoid temperatures below 40° F and above 100° F. The ideal temperature for storing vinyl films is 70° F. • Prevent the film from coming into contact with excess moisture. Ideal moisture for vinyl film storage is 50% relative humidity. • Store in the original container. • Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Films should be processed and applied within the shelf life listed on each series’ product data bulletin. Temperatures below 40° F and above 100° F may cause adverse affects to the processing and application of the film. Excessive moisture may affect the liner causing issues with processing. If stored in the original container, film may be stored horizontally if suspended by the original core plugs. Films may be stored horizontally without the original box if supported by a rod through the core. When stored vertically, films should be placed on a core plug. Keeping films covered with the provided plastic sleeve will protect from exposure to dust and debris. FDC supports other brands in the conversion and master distribution of their products. Please refer to each manufacturer's instructions for their particular storage instructions.
